Things are looking good. Obviously we don’t know how good yet, but based on the energy of the people involved things are looking pretty good.
First things first. We locked down our director. The ever fabulous Kel Haney who is currently directing a piece for EST’s ASKING FOR TROUBLE FESTIVAL.
Speaking of ASKING FOR TROUBLE, our very own Jenny Gomez will be performing in the festival! Saturday 7pm. Here’s the link for more info.
We also had our very first read thru where we finally got to hear this play out loud and got and chance to get a glimpse of the talent that is Jon Levenson. Even though we were yelled at by a crotchety older gentleman in the cafe at Barnes & Noble (for being AWESOME, that’s why) the read thru went supremely well. Our first workshop/super long rehearsal is this upcoming Sunday and instead of being nervous I’m actually pretty excited.
And now to me. The play I worked on as an Assistant Director is opening this Friday at The Barrow Group. It will be the American premiere of Clare Mcintyre’s original play THE THICKNESS OF SKIN and runs through the 9th of November.
